There are three different models of Aerial Ladder apparatus manufactured by Sutphen. These models will be featured with photographs and information about the apparatus. Two of the models, the SL104 and the SL75, are manufactured for their own specific usage. The third model, however, is used for three different apparatus-the SA75, SA65, and SA50.

The Sutphen L104 has a 250 lb. tip load and ability to flow 1000 GPM at full extension at any given angle. Its ladder is made of extruded aluminum and is resistant to corrosion. The ladder's amazing strength and rigidity gives it a 3:1 safety factor rating. The mid-mount design gives even weight distribution on chassis, provides quick access to the pumper-like hose bed, and provides easy maneuverability.

The SL75 flows up to 1,500 GPM of water, has a 750-pound tip load, and gives an 1,000-pound rating. It also has one of the fastest set up times in the industry: 20 seconds. The SL75 is built on the specially designed single axle chassis and has easy maneuverability and handling. It is made of the highest quality 6005-T5 aluminum and includes aircraft style Huck Bolts to increase strength and performance. This amazing combination of strength and technology earned the 75' ladder a 3:1 structural safety rating. The SL75 also includes an electric radio controlled monitor, a full capacity bolt-on egress tip, and a nozzle which can be operated from the third or fourth section of the ladder.
The SA50/65/75 is formed in a unique box boom design, made of aluminum alloy for easy maintenance. It has a low open hose bed, allowing for the easy loading and laying of hose. The SA50/65/75 has 1000' of 5" hose, 400' of 2½" hose capacity, and a 500 gallon water tank. The aerial components are fully operational while flowing water. It has 75' of vertical reach and 500 lb. tip load. It is made in a single source design, with balanced weight distribution, and aircraft style HuckBolt construction. The equipment includes an electric remote monitor and nozzle with controls at the tip and pump panel. However, breathing air to tip and dual monitors are optional equipment. It can carry a pumper or Quint complement of NFPA* ladders and has an enclosed waterway, all to meet NFPA standards.
